here's a very thoughtful supportive response to
Suarez del Solar's open letter... APIs please
take note, for individual collaboration with the
imperial cabal will come back to haunt our
community!

I am ashamed that a Chinese (David Chu, below) is
involved in this. Because of the Bush
administration's repeated violations of law,
morality, and honor, Asians should avoid serving
in this administration in positions that
compromise themselves. Sooner or later, the
consequences will inevitably come back to haunt
them.

I also had the privilege of meeting the author of
this letter, Fernando Suarez del Solar, when I
attended the mistrial of 1st Lt. Ehren Watada at
Ft. Lewis, Washington state, in Feb. He was very
intense, very committed, and very much a hero in
his own right. I am sorry for the loss of his
son. I am thankful for his commitment to do
something to try to save others from his son's
fate.

Fernando Suarez del Solar is a peace activist
based in Escondido, California who on March 27,
2003, lost his son Jesus Suarez del Solar when he
stepped on a US cluster bomb while fighting in
Iraq. Since then, Fernando has been traveling
around the country speaking out against the
invasion and occupation of Iraq. In December he
traveled to Iraq with Global Exchange and a group
of military families to listen to the needs and
desires of the Iraqi people, and returned home to
meet with congress people, UN officials and the
media to call for the withdrawal of US troops.
