Las redadas y deportaciones hechas por oficiales de la

aterrorizando comunidades de inmigrantes y separándose las

Raids and deportations carried out by officers of
immigration and customs enforcement(ICE) have been
terrorizing immigrant communities and breaking up families
at an increasing rate over the last year. These raids are
likely to only get worse as politicians attempt to show
that they are "tough on immigration" in preparation for
the coming election.

But around the country people are refusing to stay silent
and are forming activist networks to band together and
mount a response. In Chicago, thousands confronted federal
officers as they raided a local market; in New Haven,
Connecticut, a major activist
campaign led to an official suspension of raids in the
city. In the bay area, there have been numerous raids that
need to be challenged!

Come to this meeting if you want to be part of kicking off
a new network that can respond at the grassroots level to
these raids and deportations.
