Dear Santa Cruz County Stop the (Immigration) Raids Committee members
(and allies),

Just writing to give you another heads up that the attached resolution
that we crafted as the Stop the (Immigration) Raids Committee to Oppose
the Immigration Raids will be placed on the City Council consent agenda
for the Santa Cruz City Council meeting on Tuesday, April 10,
2007. I've also attached some background information to support the
resolution and even a letter to the Immigration & Customs Enforcement
Dept. from Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren regarding Operation Return To
Sender dated March 1, 2007.

If you haven't already, I suggest that individual Committee members
begin your discussions with various City Councilmembers this week and
early next so that we get a head start on lobbying and on mobilizing
community support for the resolution.

*Please get started this week and reply to all in this email to report
your mobilization efforts, _just leave my email out of the "reply to
all" to avoid any Brown Act violations.
